Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

The Head Varsity Basketball Coach leads all aspects of the high school boys basketball program, including player development, game preparation, team culture, and program management. This position helps student-athletes develop athletic skills, leadership abilities, sportsmanship, and academic success while representing the school and community with integrity.
- Plan and supervise practice, games, tournaments, and program activities
- Teach basketball fundamentals, conditioning, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Select team members, establish lineups, and develop game strategies
- Monitor academic eligibility and encourage student achievement
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, feeder programs, and school administration
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding program expectations and schedules
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and program resources
- Minimum of five years of high school or collegiate coaching experience
- Collegiate playing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
