The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board is the elected governing authority of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. This seven-member body represents the Band and its tribal membership, ensuring the preservation of sovereignty, cultural heritage, and the advancement of community well-being.
Board members serve four-year terms, with elections staggered every two years to maintain continuity in leadership. In June 2025, Jordan St.Germaine, Don Carley, Janet Quaderer, and Lorraine Gouge were elected. The remaining members – Gary “Little Guy” Clause, William Trepanier, and Michelle Beaudin – are scheduled for re-election in June 2027. Following each election, the Board selects its officers: Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary-Treasurer.
