Family Enrichment Advocate
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
The Family Enrichment Advocate supports families through the Family and Child Education (FACE) Program by promoting parent-child relationships and early childhood devwelopment. This position works directly with families through home visits, assessments, and educational activities that help children build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
- Conduct regular home visits and provide family supprt services.
- Promote parents’ role as their child’s first teacher
- Assess child development and maintain required records
- Plan activities that support social, emotional , language, and motor skill development
- Recruit and engage families in FACE programming
- Collaborate with program staff and community providers
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of child development and family support services
- Strong communications and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of community resources and services
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must support the mission and philosophy of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School
