Early Head Start Teacher (Year Round)

The Early Head Start Teacher provides high-quality early childhood education and care to infants and toddlers, supporting their development through culturally responsive practices that honor Ojibwe traditions, language, and values.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Maintain detailed records and complete incident/accident reports
- Build strong partnerships with families and encourage parent involvement
- Collaborate with assistants, specialists, and program staff
- Maintain a safe, organized, and culturally supportive classroom
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
- High school diploma or GED (age 18+)
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; Bachelor’s preferred
OR
- CDA with infant/toddler specialization (or equivalent)
- 1-2 years of experience with infants and toddlers preferred
- CPR, SIDS, Mandated Reporting, and related certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background checks, drug screening, and health clearances
