Education Program Success Coordinator

The Education Program Success Coordinator supports student recruitment, advising, retention, and academic success within the Education Program at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University. This position works closely with students, faculty, schools, and community partners to strengthen teacher preparation pathways, improve student persistence and graduation rates, and support future educators throughout their educational journey. The coordinator also promotes Ojibwe language, culture, and community engagement with program activities.
- Lead recruitment efforts for teacher education and immersion teacher pathways
- Build partnerships with schools, Tribal education programs, and community organizations to strengthen educator pathways
- Assist students through enrollment, advising, course planning, and licensing preparation
- Monitor student progress and proactively address academic, personal, and logistical barriers to success
- Support student teachers during field placements and clinical experiences
- Coordinate orientations, workshops, professional development opportunities, and student engagement activities
- Maintain student records, grant reports, and required program documentation
- Support the integration of Ojibwe language, culture, and community values into program services and activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in postsecondary education
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other educational technology systems
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Willingness to travel and participate in evening and weekend events when necessary
