Substitute Teachers
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School is seeking substitute teachers to provide classroom coverage across all grade levels and subject areas as needed. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting student success while regular classroom teachers are absent
- Provide classroom supervision and instruction when regular teachers are absent.
- Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by school staff
- Support a positive and productive learning environment for students
- Assist students with assigned coursework and educational activities
- Associate Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree (BA) required for most substitute positions
- Wisconsin substitute teaching license or teaching license preferred
- Experience working with Native American children preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and follow lesson plans
- Must support the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the school
- Must successfully complete a background investigation
