Realty Assistant
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
The Realty Assistant supports the LCO Realty Office by assisting with land management activities, realty transactions, administrative operations, and compliance requirements. This position works closely with Tribal members, government agencies, and community partners while helping maintain real property records and supporting land-related initiatives throughout the reservation.
- Process HEARTH Act leases, easements, land transfers, and related realty transactions
- Assist with land purchases, site delineations, and NEPA compliance activities
- Maintain Tribal real property records and lease payment documentation
- Support forestry projects, land acquisition proposals, and infrastructure projects
- Provide information to Tribal and non-Tribal landowners regarding Tribal lands and realty matters
- Prepare reports, manage administrative records, and assist with departmental operations
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- Experience in fiscal management, program operations, contracting, budgeting or Tribal government administrations preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of land descriptions, mapping, and NEPA requirements preferred
- Willingness to pursue a Wisconsin Real Estate Sales License
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Ability to pass federal background checks and pre-employment drug screening
