LCO Face Program Preschool Co-Teacher

The Preschool Co-Teacher supports the Preschool Teacher in creating a strong learning environment where children can develop and thrive. This position also helps model positive teaching, communication, motivation, and discipline strategies for parents while supporting literacy and strong parent-child relationships through the LCO Family and Child Education Program (FACE).
- Lead a classroom when the Preschool Teacher is temporily absent.
- Work as a team member under the guidance of the Preschool Teacher
- Help impliment Creative Curriculum, TS Gold, and FACE Preschool Standards
- Assist with recruiting participants and supporting early childhood education programming
- Help prepare lesson plans, monthly reports, end-of-year reports, and data collection
- Support Parent and Child Together (PACT) Time and parent engagement activities
- Maintain an organized, clean, secure, and accessible environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess CDA and/or AA Degree or be willing to work toward completion
- Knowledge of Ojibwe language and culture , or willingness to learn
- Ability to work under the guidance of a Certifies Teacher and FACE Coordinatir
- Ability to travel for required FACE trainings, regionally, and/or nationally
- Must obtain and maintain required certifications, whichmay include First Aid, CPR, food handler’s permit, physical exam, and tuberculin skin test
