Grants Director
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
The Grants Director oversees the Grants Departmsnt and supervises grant writers and planners. This position develops grant applications, budgets, plans, and supporting materials to secure funding for essential Tribal programs and community services.
- Lead Grants Department operations and supervise grant writers and planners
- Research funding opportunities and evaluate eligibility, feasibility, and competitiveness
- Prepare grant narratives, budgets, work plans, and supporting documents
- Coordinate environmental assessments and other grant-related requirements
- Compile research, community data, surveys, and statistical information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Six (6) years of related professional experience preferred
- Advanced grant writing, research, and project-budgeting abilities
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, document conversions, and online grant portals
- Construction, infrastructure, or renewable-energy project experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening
