LCO Gaming Commission Vacancy
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board is seeking qualified applicants to fill one vacancy on the Lac Courte Oreilles Gaming Commission. Commissioners help oversee gaming activities and work to preserve integrity, accountability, and compliance of Tribal gaming operations. Commission members attend monthly meetings and provide oversignt consistent with Tribal gaming laws, regulations, and policies
- Attend monthly Gaming Commission meetings
- Assist in overseeing gaming activities conducted under Tribal authority
- Help preserve the integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance of gaming operations
- Review gaming matters and provide independent oversight consistent with Tribal gaming regulations
- Must be an enrolled LCO Tribal Member
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or higher education
- Must have no felony convictions
- Must have no gaming-related offenses, fraud convictions, or violations of gaming laws or regulations
- Must not be an elected Tribal official
- Must not be employed by any gaming operation or serve as a Primary Management Official at a gaming facility
- Must not have a financial interest in any gaming management or vendor contract
- Must have some gaming knowledge, experience, education, or demonstrated interest
- Must successfully pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
