Position Summary

Honor the Earth is seeking dependable and professional Security Staff to support the safety and well-being of attendees at the upcoming Honor the Earth Homecoming Celebration. This role provides a visible security presence, assist with crowd management, and helps maintain a respectful and welcoming environment throughout the event.

This is a short-term, weekend position ideal for individuals who can remain calm, professional, and culturally respectful in a public event setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a visible security presence throughout event grounds
  • Monitor designated areas to ensure attendee safety
  • Assist with crowd flow and safe entry/exit points
  • Identify and respond to safety or medical concerns and notify supervisors
  • Communicate clearly with event organizers, volunteers, and emergency personnel
  • Use calm, respectful de-escalation techniques when needed
  • Document incidents and follow established event protocols
  • Maintain a culturally aware and respectful presence at all times

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience in security, event staff, or public safety preferred, but not required
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full 24-hour weekend schedule
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
