Security Guard
*Tribal preference will apply to qualified applicants in accordance with the Lac Courte Oreilles Policies & Procedures Manual, consistent with federal Indian preference requirements.
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and casino assets throughout the property. This position provides security services through patrols access control, conflict resolution, documentation, and guest assistance while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and gaming regulations. The ideal candidate is professional, observant, and committed to providing excellent customer service while protecting the integrity of casino operations.
- Patrol all areas of the casino property to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets
- Monitor guest activity and verify that all patrons meet age requirements for casino access
- Control access to restricted areas and prevent unauthorized entry
- Check identification and supporting documents when required
- Respond to incidents, provide assistance, and help resolve conflicts in a professional manner
- Maintain security logs, reports, and other required documentation
- Escort employees to and from secure areas, including vault access locations
- Inspect the property for prohibited items and report security concerns or violations
- Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide guest assistance when needed
- Follow the department code of ethics and support all security and safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong customer service experience and direct guest interaction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds or more
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must present a clean, professional appearance and maintain a high standard of conduct
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must obtain a Key Gaming License and complete Title 31 training
- Basic First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
