Information Technology Help Desk Technician

The Information Technology Help Desk Technician serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical support. This position provides troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, network, and user access issues while helping ensure reliable technology services throughout the Health Center. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oreintated, and committed to deliveringexcellent end-user support in a healthcare environment.
- Provide first-level technical support through phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues
- Configure and deploy computers, laptops, printers, and related equipment
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment and account setup
- Maintain IT inventory records and software license compliance
- Document support requests, resolutions, an troubleshooting activities
- Escalate complex issues and assist with technology mainenance and upgrades as needed
- Associate’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of help desk or desktop support experience; healcare experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office applications, and common business software
- IT certifications and Healthcare IT experience preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Valid Wisconsin’s driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Must maintain a current Mantoux TB test and completed Hepatitis B series
- Must pass na background check and drug screening
