Indigenous Youth Rising is a new not-for-profit corporation created by local LCO members that are seeking to raise funds to support our children in connecting with their cultural heritage and achieving academic success. Many young Indigenous individuals face barriers that limit their access to cultural experiences, such as language programs, traditional arts, ceremonies, and land-based learning. By funding these initiatives, we can help foster a stronger sense of identity, belonging, and resilience. Additionally, we aim to create a financial support system that assists our youth in pursuing their academic goals, whether through scholarships, tutoring, or school-related expenses. Investing in both cultural and educational opportunities empowers these young people to thrive and become future leasers in their communities.
