NEW POST, Wisc. – Road work will begin near the New Post Community beginning on Monday, September 8, which may affect travel times.  If traveling in this area, please allow for extra travel time.

On September 8, the Hwy CC bridge Near Hwy H will be CLOSED.

Please be aware that traffic will be rerouted and it will cause some added drive time for those living in New Post.

The bridge will be out for about 7 weeks so they can resurface the deck.

Additionally, the intersection on CC and Chippewa Flowage Road entering New Post will be turned into a 3-way stop.

The County Highway Department will be removing a few more trees as they work on the intersection.

Please be aware that bringing the trees down might cause some minor, temporary traffic delays.

The purpose of removing the trees is to open up a better line of sight for the 3-way stop and to improve traffic safety for the community.

LCO Roads, Development and the township of Radisson have been working on improving the Blueberry Fire Lane by replacing some culverts, hauling in gravel and grading it out.  Work on Blueberry Fire Lane will end today.
