Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School Girls 4x100 Relay Team Captured Northern Lights Conference Championship

Lac Courte Oreilles, Wis. – On May 19, 2025, the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School (LCOOS) hosted the Northern Lights Conference Championship Track Meet for the first time in Ashland, WI and left as champions.

“Our Athletic Director (AD) Dion Doyle and Assistant AD Noah LeBlanc did a tremendous job planning and coordinating the meet.

Thanks to our  phenomenal coaches Katie Hecker, Cody Carley, Jason Bisonette, and Zach Rajala, our athletes are seeing more and more success,” said Superintendent Jessica Hutchison.

The Girls 4×100 relay team seized the title of Conference Champions. Congratulations to Blaire Dishaw, Day Quagon, Peyton Corbine, and Aaliyah Alexander!

Many students demonstrated exceptional performance; notable highlights include:

Girls Events:

  • 4x200 relay - 2nd place Lily Hamilton, Blaire Dishaw, Day Quagon, Peyton Corbine
  • 100-meter dash - 3rd place and new school record Day Quagon
  • 200-meter dash - 6th place Peyton Corbine
  • 200-meter dash - 7th place Blaire Dishaw
  • High Jump - 6th place Lily Hamilton
  • Triple Jump - 5th place Brenna Bruguier

Boys Events:

  • 4x200 relay - 4th place Gary Clause, Gabe Bisonette, Cyllace Rainey, Mathew White
  • 4x100 relay - 4th place Gary Clause, Gabe Bisonette, Brayden Boswell, Mathew White
  • 200-meter dash - 6th place Mathew White
  • 1600-meter run - 4th place Darian Goodsky
  • 3200-meter run - 8th place Ninde Goodsky
  • Discus - 6th place Michael Rainey
  • Shot Put - 6th place Michael Rainey
  • Long jump - 8th place Brayden Boswell
