We want to extend our sincere apologies to the community for any frustration you may have experienced when trying to schedule appointments at the LCO Health Center. Our patient population continues to grow, and we are working hard to meet this demand by expanding our medical team.
Dr. Caron will be leaving at the end of August. We are working hard to make sure all of his patients are scheduled with another provider so there is no interruption in care.
We are pleased to share that two new Nurse Practitioners will be joining our team, one in September and one in October. Once they are familiar with our electronic health record system, they will begin accepting new patients. We are also actively searching for a new Medical Doctor to join our staff.
In rural areas, it is not uncommon for patients to wait several months for an appointment, as many clinics face similar staffing challenges. While this sometimes means appointments are scheduled farther out than we would like, we do offer walk-in appointments for quick injuries or illnesses. Please call 715-638-5100 to check availability before coming in.
We also want to remind everyone that missed appointments (“no-shows”) can mean waiting up to three months before another appointment becomes available. If you can’t make your scheduled time, please call as soon as possible so we can offer that spot to another patient.
If you feel you need to be seen sooner than your scheduled date, you may request to be placed on our waitlist. When cancellations occur, our team reviews the waitlist and calls patients in order to see if they can come in on short notice.
We truly understand your frustration and appreciate your patience and trust as we work to improve access to care for our community.
