Aginjibagwesi Owadiswan Language Camp - The Nest of the Language Keepers is dedicated to the revitalization and preservation of the Ojibwe language and culture through immersive, hands-on experiences. Whether you're just starting out or deepening your journey, you'll leave knowing more than when you came - and feeling more connected, supported, and inspired. The language camp will also serve as a professional development opportunity for administrators and teachers of Indigenous pupils. Monday, September 15, 2025 "Threats to Manoomin are threats to Ojibwe wellbeing, sovereignty, and resilience." Please join the STRONG Manoomin Collective and the Lac Courte Oreilles Department of Conservation for an interactive resilience indicators workshop and strategy session. What are resilience indicators? They are tools meant to assess where tribes are at- in terms of how Manoomin, other relatives, and people are responding to threats like climate change and where they want to be. During this interactive workshop we will define Lac Courte Oreilles' resilience indicators and determine strategies for strengthening LCO’s resilience. We will be guided by two questions: • What resilience indicators are most useful for your tribe? • How do you strengthen resilience of Manoomin and the tribe? Lunch is provided. We have space for 30 participants, who will each receive a gift for their participation and be entered into a raffle drawing. Please use the attached QRC code to register. If you are not part of the first 30 to sign-up, you will be added to the wait list.”
