Mission Statement

Lac Courte Oreilles Domestic Violence Program/Shelters mission to provide a safe and healing environment for individuals and families in crisis intervention situations. Individual(s) will receive assistance from staff and volunteers in a protective and heathy setting.

Services Provided

  • Crisis intervention advocacy for domestic violence/sexual assault (cross trained staff)
  • Short term crisis live in shelter accommodations
  • Transportation to and from medical/dental/legal (etc.) appointments
  • Assistance and supportive services in court hearings & appearances/restraining orders
  • Referral and information to tribal, county and state programs
  • Referral/s to other tribal, county, state DV/SA programs
  • Assistance for continuing education/job search
  • SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) availability
  • Safety Planning
  • Client outreach services provided after discharge
  • Training/Workshops for Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault
  • Support Groups
